A Very Long Day

Today started early and it is almost over - and it's really now tomorrow. I started my letterboxing in Papago Park. It was very quiet and peaceful, I think I only saw 3 or 4 people. I found 4 boxes and spent a great part of the morning in the park. Afterwards I headed to the ASU campus. I found two boxes very quickly but the third one that I hunted eluded me. M n M Maniac took me on a great tour of the ASU campus which started at Gammage Auditorium. Unfortunately, I did not find the box - the area where it was suppose to be was blocked off by fencing and they were relandscaping the area. Oh well, I did enjoy walking the campus - oh to be young again!!!

After all that walking I debated which boxes to look for next. I opted for The Prospector and I found Gold! Once done with that I head for my next box - I was so happy that Astro D prodded me to solve The Mystery of Black Bean the Dreaded Pirate (7). Well, I arrived at the place where I thought Black Bean was hiding. I followed the clues and everything seemed to fall into place. I found the spot and started looking for the box. Couldn't find it. Reread the clues and tried again. Still no luck. I really didn't want to leave the area without the box, so I emailed night writer and told her my dilemma. While waiting for her reply I went and filled up the car with gas and washed (it was covered in mud from looking for the Cabinet Box on Thursday. While at the car wash I got an email from night writer and she said she was planning on checking on the box anyway but she didn't have a ride. We agreed I would go and get her and head to the area and check on the box together. She confirmed it was missing and that I was in the right spot. I didn't get the box but I did get two exchanges (night writer and star writer) and two cooties (curly cootie and checker cootie.

By this time it is after 6:oo pm and I needed to get to Tucson. So I got directions and headed out. After stopping to get some dinner and a few other items I checked into the hotel. After eating and then taking a shower I logged in my finds wrote in my journal and planned for my next day of boxing in Tucson. So I am just now getting to write this blog. It was a long day - but it was a very good day. Talk to you tomorrow.
