Once I got through Providence it was pretty clear driving. I took one of the first exits and made my way to Newell Burying Ground (which is the oldest cemetery in Attleboro). I went to find a letterbox that honored a young man who collapsed and died while playing soccer. The cemetery is beautiful and I found Andrew's grave - it was covered with lots of trinkets that friends and family left there. From here I found the box. Unfortunately it is in bad shape and needs repair. The box was completely wet and the logbook was useless. I stamped the stamp in to my logbook but was unable to stamp into the box's logbook. I replaced the box and made a note to contact the placer later on. Next I headed to St. Stephen's Cemetery to find A Lost Gnome. This cemetery is much newer and I didn't like it as much as the first one. So I found the box quickly, stamped in and continued on my way. The next cemetery I stopped at was Woodlawn Cemetery. I loved this cemetery. It had some very nice gravestones and was just peaceful and beautiful. Unfortunately, the box I found here had a store bought stamp. I was really disappointed because this was such a wonderful place I felt it deserved a much better box. Anyway! Time to continue on. My fourth stop was at North Purchase Cemetery. It was also nice but what I liked about it was that way in the back was an opening into the woods. You could see a stone wall in the distance. When you walked up to and around it you found a bench to sit on with a block of stone in the wall with a quote from Romeo and Juliet about stony limits.
For stony limits cannot hold love out,
And what love can do that dares love attempt.

This was such a wonderful spot. I sat for a while and enjoyed the quiet and relaxed. The stamp was a carving of the wall - really nice. After this I made my way to St. John's Cemetery. I was looking for Angels. I only found one of the boxes - the one with the angels. The other box was a teardrop but I couldn't find it anywhere. I had a small piece of carving material and a film canister with a rolled up logbook. So I quickly carved a small teardrop and replaced the box. I need to write to the placer and let her know. Well I was done in Attleboro so I continued north on I95.And what love can do that dares love attempt.

I made a stop in Foxborough and more specifically at Rockhill Cemetery.
